I want to communicate with everyone about a few things we do in math class so you are not in the dark. Students are using these systems on a daily basis and we are starting to get into good habits with our books, homework, websites, etc.
- "First 15" During the first 15 minutes of every class, students work silently and independently on math skills. This is self-paced, so if one student needs to practice multiplication, another might work on simplifying fractions. They are using two math websites (links provided) for this work...
- IXL.com is an incredible resource for math students of any age. There are literally hundreds of types of exercises, all aligned with our math standards. Students can certainly continue this work at home, but they will need to write down login credentials to use it on a home computer.
- Khan Academy is also great. It has less extensive practice, but each skill is supported with excellent instructional videos. Again, students can work on this at home if they have login credentials.
